23.07.2010 New project with „Klinik Villa im Park", Rothrist

The famous private clinic Villa im Park, Rothrist (member of the Swiss Leading hospitals), will furnish in autumn 2010 five VIP rooms. Hence, the management of the clinic has decided to offer to the patients in these superior rooms an infrastructure at the highest level. Multifunctional 18.5" widescreen terminals (16:9) will be installed and a variety of multimedia services offered (in phase 1). This partial project stands in the context of a comprehensive communication project. We are glad about this new partnership and wish a successful project to all involved persons.

05.07.2010 QualiLife Showroom in France

A multifunctional bed terminal was installed today in the renowned 'Institut Edouard Bélin' in Besançon (F). QualiLife is the first Swiss company present in the only "virtual hospital" in France. The centre is not only known in the Franche-Comté region: Nationwide it plays an important role in health care.

This partnership provides QualiLife with an ideal 'showcase' for francophone customers.  

01.07.2010 Event in the Clinica Hildebrand Centro di Riabilitazione, Brissago

Director Gianni R. Rossi invited guests to witness this momentous occasion. For a couple of weeks the complete QualiMedical unified communication solution has been productive in the entire clinic (which includes more than 90 beds). The newly built „Day Clinic" with nine beds is fitted with bedside-terminals as well.

Almost 70 decision makers from all parts of the country did not pass up the golden opportunity and came to study the various QualiLife solutions in practice. The course of action and the reasons, which originally lead to this specific project where explained in detail.  On a guided round tour the participants could see live on how the multifunctional terminals were used most effectively by physicians, nursing staff und patents. The patients profit from a state of the art system, which offers a wide variety of media, various information (e.g. therapy plans) as well as internal and external means of communication. On the other hand physicians and nursing staff can access the electronic clinical record (patient record, nursing documents, therapy plans etc.) directly from the patient's bed.

This most informative event was rounded off with culinary highlights, which were served in the clinic and later on in the Centro Dannemann. All this was followed by a concert of the well known Ticinese artist Marco Zappa and his band.

01.06.2010 Health Media Award 2010

On the occasion of the "Trend Days Health 2010" in Cologne the Health Media Prize was ceremoniously awarded. The magnificent „Wolkenburg" was cramped as the gathering crowd of visitors to this great event was enormous.  The TV presenter Antonia Langsdorf and the economics journalist Michael Jungblut lead through the evening programme. On behalf of QualiLife, the CEO Walter M. Huber, received the special award in the category "Patient- and Company Communication".

Other awardees were:

26.04.2010 QualiLife Showroom in France

After an extensive evaluation, the management of the renowned Zurich Private Clinic Pyramide am See, member of the Swiss Leading Hospitals, has decided in favour of QualiLife. The kickoff for this challenging project took already place, thus the introduction of QualiMedical UCS should be completed by autumn 2010. We are truly delighted about the acceptance and wish all participants much success.

10.05.2010 TOBI update from Graz, Austria

QUALILIFE is pleased to announce our presence at the first TOBI workshop focusing on the emerging challenges of integrating together BCIs with other ATs and physiological signals.

This TOBI workshop is focused on the integration of Brain-Computer Interfaces with Conventional Assistive Technology.

Qualilife has an important role related to the "Communication and Control" application. We are developing practical technology for BCI that will improve the quality of life of disabled people and the effectiveness of rehabilitation. Users will be able to couple brain interaction with muscle-based interaction or can naturally switch between the different ways of interacting. TOBI will broaden the appropriate use of BCI by incorporating adaptive capabilities that augment other ATs.

The first year of TOBI produced initial BCI assistive prototypes, with demonstration in the lab with a small number of users.

Second year will deal with initial BCI assistive technology, using Motor Imagery (MI) and P300 potentials for testing and evaluation (mainly in clinics).

12.04.2010 Clinica Hildebrand decides to expand QualiMEDICAL terminals to the newly build day clinic.

QualiLife is pleased to work on another project with Clinica Hildebrand involving the installation of additional terminals in a newly build section of the clinic.

10.04.2010 QualiLife has been shortlisted for the Health Media Award 2010 in Cologne.

06.04.2010 Sven Winter joins our Professional Services Team.

As a Project Manager working out of the Bülach office, Mr. Winter will focus on German and English speaking customers.

30.03.2010 Clinica Hildebrand in Brissago is fully operational.

After months of hard work by both QualiLife and Clinica Hildebrand teams, the QualiMEDICAL solution is fully operational. Patients now enjoy full access from QualiMEDICAL bedside terminals to the Internet, Video on Demand, TV, Radio. Patients can also use the terminals to look up their individual therapy plans. Hospital personnel (Nurses and Doctors) have access to the patient records application (INES-KMS) and use their RFID badge for access authentication. The system also includes user friendly billing and management modules used internally by hospital administration and IT to remotely configure and administer the terminals.

We enjoyed welcoming all visitors to our booth at the HIMSS conference  in the beautiful city of Barcelona.  The atmosphere was great at the topics presented at the conference were very relevant to the challenges currently faced by Europe's healthcare industry.

23.11.2009 MEDICA Düsseldorf, was the first international event where the QualiMedical solution was presented.

We were very pleased with the amount of interest expressed in the patient bedside terminal. It appears that new, IP based services combining entertainment and access to patient files on one screen, are something that hospitals have taken under serious consideration and now see as the inevitable future. We thank you all the visitors to our booth for their questions and interest.

2.11.2009 IFAS Romandie, was the first event of this type in the French speaking region.

Despite a calm atmosphere at the event, we welcomed many visitors at the Qualilife booth. We enjoyed the many interesting conversation with both clients and partners as well as the overall atmosphere in Lausanne.  We would like to warmly thank all those that stopped by and we look forward to seeing you again at upcoming events.

  28.09.2009 Qualilife names Dirk Sebald as new Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Sebald brings with him over 20 years of professional experience. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management and has extensive consulting experience in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries. He is the Director and co-founder of a Zug-based independent consultancy whose recent projects included assessment and reorganization in the area of clinical health sales. Relevant to this role is also Mr. Sebald’s experience in the areas of change management, company development from start-up to mature business, as well as leadership and team development. His proven ability to manage multi-cultural and multi-language projects in the IT and consulting businesses, positions him well to spearhead the future growth and expansion of Qualilife into domestic and international markets.

30.07.2009 New Value purchases additional shares of healthcare software provider QualiLife SA.

As planned earlier this year, New Value announced its contribution totaling CHF 0.64 million in Qualilife SA,thus increasing its share in the capital stock of the company to 25.1%.

02.06.2009 QualiLife AG opens a new office in the greater Zürich area.

Focused on Sales and Marketing as well as Project Management, the office in Bülach has officially started operations on June 1st, 2009. The Lugano-Paradiso location will remain dedicated to Research and Development. Company’s management will also be conducted out of Bülach. The opening of the new office reflects the decision of management to advance the expansion of domestic and international distribution channels.

14.05.2009 Walter M. Huber, CEO QualiLife presents the QualiMedical Unified Solution at the Gesundheitsforum in Cologne, Germany.

As one of his first engagements as the new CEO of QualiLife, Walter M. Huber presented the QualiLife solution at the third Gesundheitsforum. In Cologne, Huber also participated in a panel discussion conducted by the organizers on the health of today’s management.

Huber takes over the position from company founder Claudio Giugliemma, who as CTO will now focus on the development of solution technology. Huber was formerly Managing Director at Nexus Schweiz AG and brings with him many years of successful experience as a CEO and sales manager for health care IT solutions. At QualiLife, he will focus primarily on advancing the expansion of domestic and international distribution channels. Says Huber:

01.05.2009 Hildebrand Clinica in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland decides on QualiLife.

QualiMedical Unified Solution, an integrated information and communication platform, and the first solution offered by Qualilife for the eHealthcare industry, is currently being implemented at a renowned private clinic, Clinica Hildebrand, Brissago, Switzerland in the canton of Ticino.

01.05.2009 New Value AG invests in QualiLife.

New Value and its’ co-investors made a second capital contribution of the total financing of CHF 2.6 million in QualiLife. The investment will further the growth of the company. The capital increase took place in May 2009. New value purchased shares totaling CHF 0.64 million, thereby increasing its share in QualiLife to 25.1%. A third installment is planned during the course of the year.
